Can my friend sue me for killing her cat when it was an accident?

My stupid friend's cat died while she was in Jamaica messing around with black guys. I told her I would go down to her apartment and take of it while she was gone. She has the tackiest apartment ever. Like a cheetah print rug and dumb pictures of like...kittens with bubbles floating around. Oh my God and her Kitchen appliances are not even stainless steal. She has like the avocado color stuff. I mean what a loser. Totally poor. Anyhow, her cat was old. I did go down and feed it once, but it needed a pill and she never told me I would have to use my hand to open its mouth and try and jam it in. That ugly cat had huge fangs and there was no way. I laid the pill out for it on a napkin- used peanut er on it, but it refused the pill. Kind of like "I'm too good for a pill" . The cat put on lots of airs and graces and I was not about to get bit and get rabbis and worms and stuff. So anyway, the thing croaked and she calls me screaming and crying- and I told her that I did not know it wouldn't eat it's pill. She is threatening to sue me now. Can she sue me?
