First time skateboarder. old school deck or standard style? zazzle skateboard?

Get a modern deck. Even if all you're doing is cruising and ollies.. A modern shape will suit you better. The zazzle decks are generic. Which means kinda crappy. It might not make a big difference to the beginner, but I never like generic boards because the shapes are generic, which is big nose and little tail. If you want to design a board or if you want an old school deck.. get em! You can ride more than one setup or you can hang the decks on your wall.
