Gas when we go green?

In the future when everyone owns cars that run on electricty, solar, hydrogen, how do you think it will effect fuel prices? Do you think they will go down because not as many people will be buying petroleum products. Or do you think they will go up due to the fact that there will probaly be less companies refining pertoleum, and this will not be as effcient as m producing fuel.
