I was moving off from behind acar that stopped in front of me and i was singnaling right ther was another car?

behind me while Was moving off he tried to overtake me and so he hit my back side.he started to say that was my fault i didn't say any thing all i did i had his details .few days later he send me letter to claim personal injury and car damage what should i do?
