Paula Abdul - singer, choreographer, judge of American Idol........ what religion is she, actually?

with all due respect to religions, my question is not about 'for or against' any faith at all...... but out of curiousity, what religion is Paula Abdul? y i'm asking, is b'coz, firstly, i'm a huge american idol fan, and as i notice in her name, there's an "Abdul" in it. Isn't it a muslim word or name or something? But i've also noticed her a number of times, wearing a "cross" pendant, sometimes its even in "BLINGs". So, which is which?
