What do you make of Salman Rushdie's statement that Allah came from Alilah and his three daughters?

Apparently a moon god with three daughters worshipped by the Bedouin animists. He wrote a book about two verses on Alilah and his three daughters that were added and then removed from the Koran by Mohammed.
