Omnicef and Dairy?

I am taking the generic version of omnicef for bronchitis. When I went to the Dr. on Monday, he told me to stay away from dairy for a few days. However, he didn't make a huge point out of it and the medicine bottle says NOTHING about not eating dairy while you are on the medicine.( And I have had medicine bottles that said not to eat dairy) So I am confused. Has anyone taken this before and been given similar instructions? Do you know if you need to just avoid dairy right before or right after taking the medicine or just avoid it altogether.
